I build Aks, depends on your definition of reputable, I'm not Jim fuller but I work on Aks probably more than anything else. Shoot me a pm if your interested and I'd be happy to send you some pics of Aks I've built.
I've got some Yugo M70's that have been demilitarised and trying to figure out of I need to build or sell them. What's the easiest way?
By demilitarised do you mean cut up as in demilled? Or do you mean they have been converted into "sporting rifles" for importation. If you drop a pic it would be much easier. Easiest is always gonna be just to sell the kit. Depending on what you have it might make more sense to sell as a kit or might be more valuable to sell completed. Just depends on what you've got.
Not worth building unless you want to keep it, but for resale your better off just selling the kit. Those receivers are expensive, can't reweld the old one due to all the pieces not being there. Could be built on a stamped receiver but then it's kinda of an abomination.
I saw a yugo barreled milled reciever on gunbroker.com for 400. Curious how much harder it is to swap the rest of the parts?
Just depends on how much is really done to it.
Milled Yugos are fairly straightforward to build. The most expensive part is the receiver.
Tortort has about 3 month wait and their receivers will run a little north of $500
