A Tale of Two Crush Washers, or Two Crush Washers One Barrel, and other AR oddities

If you run into this problem again just run by Publix and get some dry ice. Drop the barrel in it for 20-30 minutes and it may just drop right in, especially if you warm the upper a bit.

Now, it may never come out....
I have always worried about this because of the aluminum receiver with the must harder barrel.
 
Having the right tools and fixtures helps.

For instance, without something like a Geissele or Midwest Industries reaction rod, you may be tempted to grab your upper receiver in your vice, and crush it to the point that it's very difficult to get a BCG in and out of it.
