Anyone loading this bullet for hunting purposes using H110 powder? I’d love to hear opinions on the bullet and any loads that preform well for you fellas. I’m wanting to give them a try this coming deer season. I’ll be shooting them out a 6 1/2” Ruger blackhawk.

I can't speak from experience, but in my opinion the 140 is a bit light for deer. I favor something more in 158 to 180 range. I do know the 180 XTP is deadly on deer.

I have been using 140 grain bullets in my 357 mag and max for years. I think 140 gr give the best bang for the bunk over the 158 gr, althought I consider the 158 gr as second choice. The deer I have killed have never been able to tell me what the bullet grain was that put them on the ground. It works great.
