22 Ammo Advice

question about the conversion, as I have contemplated doing something like that for my Kimber or G17. Is there any advantage to spending the money for a conversion than purchasing a BuckMark, MKIII or Neos ?
Just the price point and then the time to swap it out seems to get me leaning towards a designated .22lr pistol for plinking. I use a MKIII for new students/beginners at my courses, but never used a conversion

To so degree it is preference to another degree its what you want. There are advantages to some conversations that allow you to have a platform that feels like to original gun but lesser caliber. Going to a dedicated platform generally means more reliability but I don't think one set up holds enough over the other to make a major difference. I generally just go with a dedicated .22 but that is me, well that and I am not a huge fan of only buying a half of a gun for the price they want for the conversions.
