2008 Jeep Wrangler Clutch Rattle

Make sure you have the correct oil in the trans
They use some very specific lube

Yeah, I came across this when I did change the trans oil. There were only 3 or 4 manufacturers that made a compliant oil. I double checked with the dealer on the oil I did use and I got the green light.

Does the jeep shimmy or shake? Years ago i had a flywheel resurfaced and the bolts holding the pressure plate bottomed out. The bolts tightened up and I didnt notice it. It caused some similar sounding problems until i figured it out.
This was on a 66 mustang 3 speed

pilot bearing could have come apart(roller bearing)allowing input shaft to walk causing noise or could be internal trans noise

95 s10 and 98 gmc jimmy, rattle wood change a little with engine rpm, drive to park idle same problem, cat converter on both. almost cost me a transmission job
