Down is the way to go for weight and comfort and compressibility. You do have to access how wet the environment is. If it is wet you have to buy a bag with a waterproof membrane outer shell or seperate bag liner.

Down is great, but it is expensive. It is very durable, which doesn't sound like a consideration for just one trip.

Synthetic bags are cheaper and a bit more forgiving in wet environments.

Generally smaller/tighter bags are warmer, so comfort (moving in the bag) will require more insulation/weight to achieve the same ability to insulate. Most people like roomy bags, but they really suck at efficiently insulating.

I would look at something like this, unless you want to drop big money on down.
