12-21-2012 What if??

12/21 is my birthday. I am having a "Your Interpretation of the End of the World" party. So I am sure there will be folks dressed in gas masks, zombies, obama, etc.
Instead of of gifts, everyone brings a few canned goods. If the world doesnt end, we are donating the goods to a homeless shelter. If the world does end, I am kicking everyone out of my house and keeping the food.

I understand that there is not a planetary alignment on 12-21-2012. It's just an end to the Long count calender( roughly 5,125 years) but you have to agree with me that the Mayans had a understanding of the solar system that is beyond belief from that era in time. I'm not saying that the world is going to end on dec 21, but what if??it could be a physical transformation or maybe a spiritual transformation?? I just feel like there is something ominous in the air and wanted to hear what others think about it.
