11/6 Hunt

I've always questioned high wind hunts too but I have shot two large buck on same afternoon with 12mph winds and yesterday I shot an avg 8pt in 14mph wind around 5:30pm. IMHO, they become more visually alert and come out in the open a little more to check on things from a distance since they can't hear as well with wind and damp ground.

I dont question that deer will still be moving, as evidenced by my other posts in this thread. I just personally despise windy conditions when its cold out cause it makes it feel even colder.
 
Just took the little dog for a quick walk and saw 2. Looked like one may have been a button buck chasing a doe. I grunted a couple of times and he circled back to see what I was. Glad I'm planning on hunting tomorrow afternoon.
