Back in Alpharetta getting ready for Monday morning...ugh.
Pretty slow this morning. I saw two small bucks, momma and fawn, two nice gobblers and the first fox squirrel I've seen in years.
Congrats everyone on all the deer (and the yote) Y'all did great!

That's how every deer looks when it's shot in the right spot. I've seen the same from a 7.62x39 and 3030. 6.5 guys crack me up.
Just got back in the stand for the evening. It's too dang hot down here. 82 degrees and I'm about to sweat to death just from walking to my stand. This is why I gave up bowhunting. I'll be surprised if I see anything before dark, much less something worth shooting at.

Hunting a small food plot in a creekbottom this evening. My daughter is behind the 308. It’s a bit warm but you can’t kill them from the couch.
Pair of does in the food plot.
Seen a button buck, 2 does, and the same 3 point from this morning so far. About as slow as the past 2 sits so far, which is highly unusual for this property and particularly the area where I'm sitting.
Pretty sure this 308 will leave enough meat on that squirrel for a sammich.....
