Just saw 2. Doe and a yearling. Was gonna shoot the doe at 90 yards and hammer would not cock. If I open the barrel it will. Wth?

Is it a CVA?
Check to make sure the breech plug is tight and then check the primer pocket to ensure the primer is seated. If it’s dirty, clean it out or if clean check for burrs and such.

Some folks have had issues with the Blackhorn 209 breech plugs.

I saw a ton of deer yesterday, so far nothing yet. Hunting at the house, hoping to finally get one on my own land.
