10/14 Hunt

Gonna take my Son tomorrow evening and then I will be in the woods come Monday.

Just had a spike come in to 10 yards. Came in behind me. Never heard him coming. 1st deer I've seen all day. Hopefully that's a sign that there are some on their feet finally.

I'm interested to see if this partial eclipse will affect deer movement. I'll probably sit here another hour or 2.

Well I don't know about down there but they are moving around up here heavy. I have seen more deer since Monday than I have seen all year. Something has them on the move. They came alive and active as soon as the cool nights and mornings started.

Hell Wednesday the high was 56 degrees. We were supposed to go shooting but I had to back out due to my back was in a sailors knott. I was pissed when I went out. It was overcast, no wind and 56 degrees at 3:00pm. I missed a good day to shoot just because my back was acting up pretty bad. Oh well we will have more days like it. We are set for next week so hopefully we get a repeat of Wednesday. Maybe a little cooler which is fine with me.

They must be moving now. I had two in one of my roads walking back to camp. One looked to be a two year old buck

What's the weather like down there where you are set up?

Was in the stand at 7. A lot of activity from 8:30 to 9:30, saw maybe 10. One buck that was either a 4 or a 6 (forgot my binos). Considered taking it, but let him walk. Will get out again later or tomorrow AM.

Was no wind at 7am now windy cloudy and 72deg.

Im back at it. Wind gust up to 27mph and 76 degrees. Hope to see some something this afternoon. You cant kill em or see them just hanging at the camp
