  1. THREAD FOR POSTING PICTURES OF FISH CAUGHT

Finally have something worth posting in here. Set a new PB twice in one day, I was so excited to catch a 6-7 pound bass that I didn't even know how to behave when I landed this one. Fought like a big old cat fish, just hit like a ton of bricks and stayed tight to the bottom.
  2. Going back to Gatlinburg

The g/f loves camping in Gatlinburg and this time she wants to fish while we are there. Looking to buy the Tennessee annual pass, but i'm seeing lots of special permits for certain reservoirs and Gatlinburg specific permits. We've never fished the area and aren't after anything particular. If we...
  3. Fly Fishing Thread .....

Joining this thread. I got a wild hair to learn to fly fish. My lake/pond only has 90% 12" and smaller bass and some bream so I've been switching to ultra light and medium action gear which lead me to wondering what would happen if I threw small minnows and other flies. Figure this will provide...
  4. Port St Joe or Apalachicola?

After driving through Apalachicola once I was dead set I wanted to fish around there so I guess we will stick with that plan. If you hear of any charters out of that area I am all ears.
  5. Port St Joe or Apalachicola?

PSJ/CSB are my go to beaches for that area, after that I don't like to stop again until Gulf Shores.
  6. Port St Joe or Apalachicola?

Planning a fishing trip for my birthday in mid April. Would you go for brackish water fishing out of Apalachicola or inshore fishing out of Port St. Joe/ Cape San Blas? We would be getting a place for the weekend in PSJ for the beaches and would either take a charter out of PSJ or drive 30-40...
  7. Trout Fishing

"Any person who is a resident of a state, county or city subject to a stay-at-home order or a stay-at-home restriction, who is not currently physically present in Fannin County, will not be allowed to enter the county limits while the ordinance is in place. However, this will not prohibit...
  8. Trout Fishing

We're about to head down that way. May ride over to Cashes Valley also and walk down the streams since it's a little more secluded from the thieves of joy.
  9. Trout Fishing

I had a customer offer me 3 days at her cabin in exchange for a shipment so we are up here for my birthday. I just don't want to pay for a second license when I am 3 miles from the line.
  10. Trout Fishing

I’m in Murphy for the next few days. Only a couple miles over the state line. Going to get back into Georgia where my trout permit is valid and mess around tomorrow or Sunday. Anyone have any specific locations I could try? I’ve read below Lake Blue Ridge below the dam.
  11. Trout Fishing

    excellent info.
  12. Trout Fishing

That shouldn't be an issue either I've got plenty of that.
  13. Trout Fishing

I’ll have to watch for that. Coming from bass, bream and catfish fishing I don’t know where any good spots are or anything. Starting from scratch here.
  14. Trout Fishing

I picked up some 6lb braided to try out on my ultralight combo. Threw together a small tackle box also so all of my trout equipment would be in one place. Went on amazon and ordered some of the cheese colored Berkeley worms and now we wait.
  15. Trout Fishing

So I got my trout endorsement last year for the first time ever and with our Jeep we've been spending more and more time in the mountains. I'd like to be able to toss a ultralight rod in the Jeep and try my hand at trout fishing this spring and summer when we find water in the CNF. I will...
  16. Talk to me about FISHING ROD/REELs

I’ve never enjoyed throwing a buzz bait, Colorado spinner bait or large crank bait with a medium action rod. There’s so much rod flex with just the bait I’ve never felt like there’s enough flex left to set the hook. If I want to feel the action of a trick worm or a countdown rapala or something...
  17. Talk to me about FISHING ROD/REELs

Depending on the type of fish and type of bait I like a good 6'6" medium heavy for 99% of my fishing. The last rod I bought was a Bass Pro Shop Tourney Special and it has done great. You may want to pack up for a little road trip and go to Macon. It is the BPS clearance center and refurbished...
  18. Charter Fishing Trips

Alright so my birthday is in April and I have never been on a chartered fishing trip. I'd like to mark that off my list. I hesitate to say I want to go deep sea fishing because if someone here recommends a species or a charter that goes out into brackish water such as Apalachicola I would be...
  19. Kayak Fishing Thread

No im a transporter. These were all from the corporate office in Kennesaw.
  20. Kayak Fishing Thread

Out of the 7 kayaks I delivered I believe 5 were Sea Ghost. They were killer, the storage, live well, coolers, and rod holders plus the seats looked super comfortable. I definitely think this will be the kayak I go with when I purchase. They just seem great and it's a local company.
