That is true.
The benefit is that it takes my regular oven about 10 mins to get up to 400 degrees (interior volume to heat). It takes my air fryer about 3 minutes.
Also the basket can be removed and put in the dishwasher.
The instruction manual that came with mine specifically stated not to use a wet batter.
It says a light spray of oil. I also dip wings, chicken, meat, etc. in a sauce that gets baked on.
It’s an oven not a deep fryer.
I agree with this but the smaller “air fryer” heats up a lot faster. Unless we are cooking for a crowd, the air fryer is a much quicker bet for a family of four. The air fryer has the food ready to eat before the oven has preheated.
We have one and use it 3-5 times a week. “Air frying” is just a gimmick rebrand of convection baking. These things are mini convection ovens but with less volume than a normal oven, they heat much more quickly.
We like to cook bacon in ours among other things.

I am not much of a trophy hunter, but I rise at 5am in a cold November morning because I believe venison to be healthier...
Lol...this stuff will burn you from end-to-end...lips to sphincter and everything in between. I consider daves to be more of a test of manhood rather than a true flavoring of food.
For casual dining experiences, I prefer Louisiana Hot Sauce. Spicier than Texas Pete but without the over-bearing...
