Chicago style hotdogs...

From what I can gather a chi-town hotdog consists of:

A poppy seed bun
all beef frank
neon relish (don't know if that's a brand or just the color)
Mustard, onion, pickle spear, tomato, sport peppers
dusted off with celery salt

I can't find sport peppers any place so I substituted. Also can't find that specific relish, so I used regular. The buns were hard to find but ending up locating some at a bi-lo.

I'm not a big fan of their pizza, but the dogs are outstanding.

I can't comment on Chicago dogs, but the hotdogs sold in New Orleans out of the yellow carts are out frigging standing!! Or at least they were at 2 am.

That's what we ended up doing. I had to set it off to the side and take a bite after biting the dog, lotta stuff piled on.

They used to have the sport peppers at QuikTrip but quit carrying them. Not a true Chicago dog but pretty good for a gas station
