When I ran my uncles country store and gas station back in the late 60’s, the pulpwood workers would come in at lunch and buy canned dog food and a sleeve of saltines. They said it tasted good had bigger portions and was 1/4 the price of spam or potted meat.
My mama must have made a truckload of grape jelly. She was a master at it. Pint and quart jars, not the little sample jars.
She also canned the hulls as preserves.

I worked at a steel fab shop for several years. One of the guys saved up scraps of 1/4” 316ss until he had enough to make an offset smoker. Heavy but will last a few lifetimes.
Hard to find a gas grill that is worth anything. Tractor Supply has one for $599 that looks really good. Don't know brand.
Just gonna keep using my weber kettle for now. Both of my sons have green eggs.
