Has anyone else checked this out? Interests me for hunting for hogs on WMA’s during small game, and for hunting in general. More power and not as dirty.
Thing is, I wouldn’t say she is small framed. After seeing her shoulder a 700, the length of pull looks fine. I think she just try a Monte Carlo stock.
A friend of mine is looking for one of the two and I told her I would get opinions. So does anyone here have experience with either? I am familiar with both actions and triggers, but the stock and fit is a mystery to me.
Most of my rifle are scoped and I recently bought an older 700 ADL with irons I would like to replace with a peep arrangement. I would like to hear from those of running a similar setup. Show me what you have.
I routinely carry my 4.2” during deer season and have taken two does with it (close in). Don’t get crazy with the hammer spring and you will be just fine. Mine is loaded with 158 Speer gold dots, cast may be a better choice for hogs.
The bore is nice and clean. I am putting the cart before the horse just a bit and need to take it to the range before I make a plan for it. Going to order 3 boxes of different weights to see what it likes to shoot first.
Finally got all the paint off, all FIVE layers. Have not come to final conclusion, but emailed McMillan and they said Brown Precision. Have not verified this.
