  1. Outboard motor tech needed NW Georgia

I appreciate it! I understand. It's an 86 mercury 35 horse. I travel with my job so I don't have a lot of hometime to spend messing with it. I'm sure it's something simple. I wanted to take it somewhere reliable and have them fix it.
  2. Outboard motor tech needed NW Georgia

It seems to be getting too much fuel. It's dripping out of the carb. He bought it a month ago and took it to guy for another issue then this one popped up. You wanna make some money? We're in Resaca.
  3. Outboard motor tech needed NW Georgia

Anyone know of a good repair guy for an older Mercury outboard in the Northwest Georgia area? My son is home for the winter and bought an older Bass Tracker with a 35 Mercury and is having trouble. I really don't want to take it to a shop, just need a guy. I'm sure it's a simple fix. Thanks

  6. Anyone buy the new in line 6 duramax? Bought one , review

I honestly believe this is by design so you HAVE to take it to the dealer for repairs. The service department is where dealers make their real money.
  7. Anyone buy the new in line 6 duramax? Bought one , review

Yeah, I drive a company dodge eco diesel truck First few days I thought something was wrong with it because of the lag. I learned real quick not to try and jump out into traffic. But, the fuel economy is great.

You have to drop the transmission at 150k to INSPECT the oil pump belt at a cost of $1000 just for the INSPECTION. No thanks.

  15. Question for used Harleys.....

I rode dirt bikes when I was younger and we worked on them .I'm sure it is different though. I see plenty of them for sale in the 30-50k mile range, I just didn't know how many miles was too many on them. I have the money saved, but may have to wait a little while now. I'm a partner in a small...
  16. Question for used Harleys.....

I used to ride sport bikes and I am now looking for a good used Harley. I really like the Road Kings. With that said, how many miles is too many on an engine? I understand that maintenance and how the bike was taken care of makes a difference. Thanks for any feedback
  17. Can I get some help fixing my brake lights?

I have a 98 suburban and the dash lights and running lights went out. I ended up replacing the headlight switch assembly.
  18. I changed my first water pump.......

My wife had a Jeep Cherokee that did that years ago. I checked everything then gave up and took it somewhere. The battery had leaked somehow down the positive cable and eroded the wire inside the plastic insulation just enough for it to start every once in a while. I would have never found that.
  19. I changed my first water pump.......

I appreciate it, but I was in Alabama when it went out. I'm cheap and didn't want to have it towed all the way back to my house. Dang man, I never thought of that!:)
