I think that speed was on paper….HP to weight, final drive, tire stretch, wind resistance, etc…I don’t think they actually put an idiot on it for verification…imagine a 400mph head wind….

Did 150 in the 70’s on a Kawasaki H2 750. 165 in my vette. 183(on the speedometer)on the FZ1, 155 in the caddy. 165 in fifth gear in my current GTO, car was still pulling, my courage was not…
But in reality, I’m only half fast.
Nice old bike…what are you thinking price wise? I had a 1980 CB 750 custom when younger…I’ve been toying with finding another and replicating my old one…
My GTO puts 608 on the tires, and it’s a 6 speed….it’s fun as hell to drive, but still gets a little squirly on 2nd gear roll ons…running 275/40/18 NT05’s helps a little…
Don’t know on the body chassis…I guess I could go look. One seatbelt for both occupants. 10 gallon tank, drum rear, disc front. I have new finned aluminum valve covers with matching air filter, and a new lokar shifter…the car is at a neighbors place right now, I guess I’ll go get it tomorrow...
I have one, but no doors or top. Nice 350 Chevy, metric 200 trans, ford 8 inch. The car could use some TLC, but it’s a running, driving car as it sits…12.5k
