  1. 1st Hunt today

    I've had family health issues this year and havent been hunting. Leaving this morning for Warren County to hunt for the next week or so. Wish me luck. First opening week of firearms season I have missed since about 1976.

    What bothers me is that I sometimes go in the woods for more than 3 days without leaving. Am I to pack up, go find a non existant pay phone to try to record in 72 hours?

  9. Mixed feelings on thermaCELL.

    I normally go the head net and gloves route, but I have used them a few times when skeeters were really bad. I had a few does come in pretty close and it did not seem to bother them, but I haven't shot a deer using them.

  16. .223 Bullet selection for Hogs

    Haven't hunted hogs but have dropped deer in their tracks with: Speer 70 gr Spitzer pushed by 23.5 gr. IMR 4895 w. CCI 400's. Slows it down to about 2,578 fps.
