    Indeed. My favorite radio has the tuning "Magic Eye" tube (Zenith 12-S-265). Purchased new by my grandfather in 1939. Pretty cool little thing.

    Sounds good. I built a low power AM transmitter that I then hooked up to a computer to broadcast Old Time Radio programs and music to my 1930's and 40's tube radios. It's been a few years since I messed with them. Your post has me thinking of them again. Thanks!

    Don't expand the hive too quickly. I harvested last year then added one deep box and two shallow boxes to replace the one shallow box i harvested, all excited about getting another harvest in the same year... Lost the hive because there weren't enough bees to defend all that extra space...
