That's niceThis is a newer rough case piece that cleaned up nicely. Most of the moving small parts were replaced with Wilson Combat parts and a Mag well. Zoom in on the rear frame, thumb safety, palm safety all these parts were just rough cast and looked horrible. It really came to life with some light grit wet/dry sand paper, polish and demel and a bit load of elbow grease. I have done a lot more but just didn't take pics.

Hey geezer! You may already know this but in case you don't here it is. You can remove all those surface blemishes with some 2000 grit wet/dry sand paper. Once all the scratches are gone just take the frame and slide and take it across the sand paper in one single direction. That will give it a matt finish. If you want a highly polished look use Mother's polish and a Dremel with a polishing bit like the ones I sent you a link to. If the scratches are a little deeper you can start with 1500 or 1000 it's just going to take you a little longer to work your way up to 2000. As long as you got the mother's polish and the polishing bits for a Dremel you really can't mess it up. Just don't press down real hard with the sandpaper and let it do the work. Once the sandpaper feels slick switch it over untill you feel the resistance. The gun I posted had a matte finish and I did the same exact thing to it. It'll look like a new gun when you're finished. Tape up in the areas that you don't want polish to get into or you don't want sanded. Other than that it's pretty straightforward. Here is the old Llama….It’s been through hell. Previous owner stripped it to raw steel, and polished it. Someone also cut the front sight down to a nub. I have added parts, and modifications through the years. I did the bobtail, I fit the grip safety, thumb safety, trigger, and threaded barrel. The gun runs good, but had the sight issue….I found this red dot plate on Amazon, and it looked like an answer to the problem. I filed the raised rib down to fit the plate, and am satisfied with the outcome. It had a really nice set of plastic grips that were of no use to me after I bobtailed it, so I traded them for a beat up set of wood grips, then dolled them up…the gun is getting ceracoted black right now, and should be back together soon...
I love the grips here. I hear it's quite dangerous to pull off.
