A friend of mine shared these pics of a young lady in his family that shot this monster at 40 yards from her stand when it stopped briefly while chasing a hot doe.
She had a very short window as the big buck turned bit she was able to make the shot with her .243.
The big boy dropped but he sprang back up to give it all he's got until he ran out of steam roughly 1/4 mile away.
But our young deer slayer was confident she would soon recover this monster.
He was eventually recovered with the aid of some trusty hunting dogs which made this young 11 year old lady the envy of all the other young deer hunters in her school.
Now if I could land a monster like this I could quit killing every doe in sight...lol.
I thought it was an elk at first.... Nope, Coweta county white tail.
