Back in '84 when I was at FLETC a 14 ft 125 lbs rattler was reportedly killed in a guys garden. There were pictures but I dont have them. No web in those days.

The girls quit running in the evening and morning.

When I was at station weapons at MCAS Beaufort our MSgt ran over a rattler in one of the little bomb dump pickup trucks, it turned and struck the tire as he passed, the tire went flat within about an hour.

If it's on your property, kill it. If it's in its own habitat leave it be and move on
