Spend some time out the north gate…some cool mountain towns/roads in that part of SW Montana…and go to the gun museum in Cody. Maybe tour the Big Horn Armory production facilities…they make incredible lever action rifles.
Dubois and the Wind River Mtns are also worth the drive…they are out the South Gate and east about an hour.

If I had a choice in the matter, I'd move to Cody, WY in a heartbeat.

Everyone should see Yellowstone at least once in their life and Lionheart gives great recommendations.
I'll add that if you get to Cody, I highly recommend Chief Joseph Scenic Byway

Enjoy your time out there. Out west is where I'm originally from. Yellowstone used to be a second home.

At Teton today and tomm. Going to hike Jenny Lake tomm. Saw Griz and cub, black bear, bison, elk, mule deer, and much more.
