So much WRONG here. Officers don't have the right to do anything, they have authority. There is a distinct difference. And the obvious issue here, if someone has taken the affirmative steps to actually register a firearm (probably in a blue state) then is that really the person the cops/feds need to be worrying about? Clearly the DHS and the .gov consider people who own guns and motorcycles to be criminals. If that was true, then I'd be Tony effin' Montana.

Can there be any doubt that there is a national database your name goes into everytime you fill out a 4473? They may not have been able to ram expanded registration schemes through, but you better believe they are culling every piece of info they possibly can.
