Last several months firefox has gotten downright balky. I clear my cookies/cache and keep updated, dont get error messages, so whats the problem?

Looked for help and found either conflicting or not applicable info.

Ideas?

Any others out there that are fast and reliable? Tried duck duck go, it was no better. Would hang up too.

I was about to say clear your "porn" history but you beat me to it.

Do you have a ton of bookmarks? Are you running any "add ons" that they offer? When a site loads, does it say what it's loading, like banner ads, etc?

Are you using v51.0.1 (if you're on a 32 bit machine?). Are you using other browsers that are slowing down as well? And as emptyMags asked, added new ones since you noticed it slowing down? Do the existing one's need updating?

Maybe check your hard drives(s) to see if they need defragging, but modern op system do that automatically now.

I haven't noticed Firefox getting worse on this old PC.

Because they fired their leader and developer for donating a thousand bucks to an anti-gay marriage group and all that's left are the SJWs.

Brave is a new browser that was started by the guy that was fired. Try it.
