I've also tumbled old surplus 30-06. Chrono'd it afterwards and couldn't really tell much of a difference between non-tumbled and tumbled surplus.

Caveat, I only tumbled them for a couple of hours, maybe two or three...

i believe the tumbling might effect double base powders as most of them have a deterent coating to make them burn slower. single base stick powders dont need the coating so probably dont do much of anything.
