It always amazes me how blue they are, especially in the summer.

I took this pic on the southern end of the Blue Ridge Parkway on Saturday. So according to some articles I read, the blue is caused by trees generating isoprene, which gives protection from summer heat and stress (especially Oaks).

One of my favorite places I've ever traveled. I think I could just drive up and down the parkway for infinity.

Love the blue ridge parkway. My parents took me and my siblings there every year for fall vacation. And my wife and i took our son on the journey many times too. And we always spend a weened in Boone to visit the tweetsie railroad.
