Who's a fan of the Plantation Buffet in Athens

Ate at the Golden Corral in Winder a few weeks back. Surprisingly good. The last GC I ate at was in Alpharetta. Not nearly as good. Guessing management and good employees make a difference.

I'm surprised my post about GC has had positive response from this crowed, but truth be told I like GC.

Matthews Cafeteria in Tucker!!!

Have you tried the Magnolia Room in Tucker.. IMHO its far superior to Matthews. Matthews just isn't what it used to be...

Ila restaurant , a taste from Tammy in commerce , commerce country cafe , plantation and top of them all is Strickland’s in Athens. All within 30 mins of each other . I’ve lived here my whole life and those are by far the best.

I ate at Stricklands all the time when it was in Downtown Athens back in the early 90's, then they suddenly closed. It wasnt until about 2005 that I discovered they had simply moved... not closed.
