It will be a pedigree hire. After Bear Bryant , you had to have worked for him or played for him in order to coach any aspect of bama football. At least for a while it was that way.

I would not be surprised to see Bama pull from the NFL tree. I think Dan Quinn would be a good move. He’s a great defensive coach, a great recruiter, and almost everyone loves the guy.

Could be Freeman from Notre Dame or Kalen DeBoer from Washington. Just a couple names from the college pool that make more sense than what is listed above.
