Who loads .38 Special with CFE Pistol, and why results have you had? My first 100 .38 Specials were 4.0gr of W231 under Hornady 158gr semiwadcutter hollow points and a light taper crimp. They shot well and were accurate, but were a little smoky. I’m going to load more this weekend, and am thinking about switching to CFE with the same projectiles. Hodgdon called for 4.8gr-5.3gr. I’m thinking about loading some at 5.1 to how my pistols like them.
