So I have too many in the stable. Up to 5 with only 3 drivers, and boss says it’s getting out of hand….
04 WJ rwd Limited. Sunroof, Apple CarPlay, backup camera, leather, seat warmers, 4.7 v8 with 123k. Literally the automotive fairy tale- bought this from first owner, 85yo lady that bought new and kept in garage. Pristine and perfect. 6k/ yr on avg.
95 XJ 4x4 with the 4.0HO. This was a buddy’s that passed on. I’ve spent the last 4 mos fixing it up. 2” Rusty’s lift, tune up, new hd rear leafs, steamed and shampooed interior (appears new), new headliner, single din BT radio for phone support, 2k paint job just to make it look presentable bc clear coat and some of base was gone. 160k or 5500/yr. Needs new tires as the old are like 11yo and dried out.
WJ has more power and is better built IMO, rides better. The XJ is just cool and has sentimental value but rides like an old Jeep.
No question the XJ is easier to work on but the WJ is pretty easy as well.
If you could only keep one, which would it be? Why?
