Click on "My Profile" at the top right of your screen, then scroll down to where you see "Permission Groups", and then click "Join Groups" and select all the groups you would like to join.

I don't see any reason you'd be locked out of that other thread (another mod moved it), unless you're not subscribed to the right group.

I have been a member of politics and Hit topics. I do not recall leaving the group. But that fixed it
