What's wrong with this deer?

Just started getting pics of this young buck recently. I had to download the HD pics and I still can't figure out why it looks like that. I don't recall ever seeing one like that before. Couple of other long time hunters I sent pics to had no idea either, granted that was before I downloaded the HD pics. The color of the deer is way off and it looks to me like it has some hair loss going on, but appears otherwise healthy as far as I can tell from a picture.

None of the 100s of pics of deer with mange I looked up, looked like this deer. They all had mostly normal colored hair.

Only references to that I could find on Google are black tail deer in the Pacific Northwest. Is that something that affects whitetails is GA?

It could be starting to shed summer hair for fall just like shedding of velvet for antlers.

I’d guess some type skin rash,does not look like it converted to summer coat.ticks will cause sore spots also.
