What's this worth or what would you give for this? Realistically

I've got an older fellow friend that has his collection for sale....anyways, the one that caught my eye was a colt diamondback 22lr 4 inch in excellent condition. The blueing is 99%. All around a 99% gun. Now the downfall....no box or papers. I'll have to look at the serial number to see when it was manufactured, but they made these from 66-88. I've seen these from 1500-3000. Now how much would it be worth? Realistically...

Man those Colt .22s are nice! I was looking at another revolver and saw a Colt Cobra that look nice and found out they were chambered in .22lr as well. So nice but $700+
