late 60's version of a selfie. It has been a long time since I could peel and eat a banana while holding it between my toes. Somewhere 2000 miles from the nearest land. I decided to take my retirement when I was young and work later till I die if I had to. Turned out I did not have to.....

In my 3rd year of marriage with our first child already and working two jobs.

Military. Went from CA to TX to GA to WA. Schools and training and off to Afghanistan.

In my 4th year of marriage with second child working in the commercial glass business fabricating frames and installing. Was one of the lucky guys that to work on Atlanta motor speedway year later.

Lost my job at Allen-Bradley, took a 4 month road trip across the U.S.A. in a 1966 Mustang GT convertible, then went into the Air Force.

Studying my butt off at Southern Tech. Drilling one weekend/month. Single as the day is long. Not that many wemmins at the college.

That monthly retirement check starts next year...

Sometime in 1992 I switched from being an armed security guard to a CDL driver-- thought about armored trucks, but instead took a job driving 18-wheelers Over-The-Road. Armored trucks came later when I wanted to have a home life again, and go to college while driving part-time.
