I stalk with both guns and bows, I have hunted with my compound I had but never got a shot on anything. Now I only use an old Wooden Recurve 80lb bow.

I hunt with a crossbow and a rifle when it is legal. I tend to still hunt or hunt from a ground blind, depending on weather and time of the season. Early season(bow) I hunt from a ground blind mostly. During the rut, I sometimes still hunt(stalk) near feeding areas and pinch points. I always hunt into the wind when still hunting. The one thing I learned early on is when still hunting, you should spend way more time looking than walking. It might take me an hour to cover a couple of hundred yards. I usually take a couple of slow steps and stop to look for a few minutes. I enjoy Black Powder hunting a good deal also. I like the challenge of single shot rifle hunting.
bow only for me. Its a great challenge getting them in close enough.
I bow hunt employing both spot and stalk as well as stand hunting. Once gun season opens the bow gets put up till next year though.
