What is up with folks paying a gunsmith to clean their guns?!

I have a long trusted friend clean my guns, and they’re spotless when I get them back. I trade him 1 box of 9mm ammo for every three guns . He’s happy and I’m happy, I hate cleaning them

my gun smith told me he had a guy bring in 12 firearms to be cleaned. He charges 30 bucks to clean. He actually had to stop cleaning because he got so behind on actual gunsmith stuff
