We've still got our local VFW turkey shoot in Cumming.

Yeah my uncle had one every Saturday from October til New Years at his old Sinclair gas station outside of Bainbridge ga. Back in the 50s and early 60s. It was a lot of fun. Met a lot of cool old geezers. Guys would bring their long Tom single barrel 12ga 36” full choke to get the best shot density.
We need a fall turkey season. Many states have one.
Seen a lot of long toms beat by an off-the-rack 28 incher. Or a friendly judge with a sharp #2 pencil!
Now that's what I'm talking about. A network of turkey shoot shooters.
