What Color Should I Use?

Here is my latest low budget garage project. It's an old Springfield 16 gauge one barrel. It's rusty and somewhat pitted on the receiver. I used VHT engine paint on my Stevens pump gun project and most likely will again. But I'm bored with the satin black. So what would look good on this one?

Please remember that I'm not a fan for the exotic colors. I will probably sand the wood down smooth and clear coat it. But what color would make this Old Milwaukee budget scattergun look good?
