What are the best places to eat in Savannah

I used to live in Savannah. Parents and in-laws are still there.

Here’s my personal favorite places to eat:
Southern cooking - Mrs Wilkes - only tourists eat Paula deans.

Seafood - the exchange - best crab chowder you’ll ever eat. Loves is overrated as is tubbys imo.

Spanky’s - excellent chicken fingers, spuds and fried mushrooms

Barnes - love their honey mustard and fingers also.

Pirate house - skip it, not that great

Chart House on River street has a good fried shrimp basket. When you are crossing the last bridge onto Tybee Island look to your right for a small marina and 2 story building with rooftop deck with flag flying on top. Don't remember the name but shrimp boats dock there and it is good food and a good place to watch sunset. Take the first right after the bridge.

This is an excellent critique!

taquila town for tacos, clarys cafe for breakfast (be aware it WILL be packed), and Mirabelle Cafe is a must stop for the Georgia Peach Waffle, i promise of all else, MAKE SURE you get one of those while your there.

Say what you will about it being touristy , but I go Crab Shack every time. Just dealt with this tonight (All I left was the corn - no room!)
