Walmart has Remington 770 and Savage Axis for $170-190.00

Are the 770s a decent gun, I would be using it as mostly a rage gun... the only caliber avaliable was 300wm.
Would you guys buy one in a magnum caliber or stay away?

I would get the Savage over the Remington. The 770 shot fine and was accurate for what it is but the bolt feels sloppy and the trigger is very harsh. The Savage on the other hand was more than decent.

I just picked up a Savage 30-06 and 270 in Hiram, but they didn't come with a scope.

They are discontinued guns. I travel from Calhoun to Fulton Industrial every day, so I hit 5-6 before I found a store that had any. I was in Rome earlier and went to both stores there looking for a .308, with no luck.
