I am interested to see what plays out with Rick and Shane concerning Ricks wife. Things were really interesting at the end of the last season with Shane drawing a bead on Rick.
Also interested to see what happens to Norman Reedus's character and Merlel. Norman Reedus is slated through 2012 but IMDB is not saying anything about Merle being continued past his two episodes in 2010.

They're filming right down the road from me the 17-20th....Met the guy in charge of the prop weapons at our local sporting goods store, he was buying real crossbows and bolts to use in the show! Pretty neat. Personally haven't seen the show myself. I don't have AMC.
