I am currently working in the restaurant industry, and going to school. I am a "rock star" at work, and I am looking for something where I can more effectively employ my problem solving skills, and my mechanical inclination. I can work alone or with a team, but if i was put into a room and given something to put together with some sort of directions, and it had to be right the first time, that seems ideal to me. I do no steal, get drunk, do drugs. I am not a felon.
So whats the drawback? My schedule. My wife and I both go to school and the way we are scheduled so someone is home to get the school aged kid off the bus and watch the younger kid during the day, thus currently avoiding daycare costs.
I have held a number of jobs after the military from warehousing to management of a quick lube place. I don't really like long lengthy commutes, even though I have two reliable vehicles.
