I finally found the Series 70 Govt. Model that fit my criteria of price, condition, and largely unaltered state. A few PMs with member fredsidney, a phone call Sunday after Church, a short drive, and the exchange of a few Benjamins for the Colt, and I had it in my grubby clutch. I didn't get a chance to shoot it until this morning. Dead on windage and elevation at 20 yards. Using WWB ammo, it handled 50-plus rounds flawlessly, both with the magazine that came with it and two magazines from my Norincos. I want to shoot it a lot more for a reliability check, but I read a lot of accounts of bnib high dollar 1911s needing some tuning out of the box before they will feed a whole magazine. I was ecstatic when the old (1976 manufacture) Pony performed without a hitch. I mean it felt good, too! Felt like a stock trigger, a little slack, fairly crisp break at probably 5 lbs or a tad more. To say I'm tickled pink is an understatement. Thanks again, Fred.
