I'm trying to figure out what the second number if for on a Turk mauser I have. It's a 1940 Kkale. The barrel, rear sight, and rear of the receiver all have matching 5261 numbers.
I'm wondering what the 9875 stamped on it is about, it's not a new stamp it looks as old and worn as the other stamps.
Any ideas? I've looked at dozens of Turk/Mauser sights and haven't found anything, I probably missed......

Wow, its rare to see numbers match on a k kale!

My guess would be that the rifle was either assembed or rersenaled in turkey, using a captured german k98 receiver. The font and location of the serial number in your picture looks really similar to the ones on a couple of nazi k98s that i have.
