Tried something besides Cerakote this time

Spent the past 6 hours on this. Turned out pretty good. Glass bead blasted first...400 grit....then 600 grit...and then 4 different stages of polishing....Thought I would try some else on one for a change....Got some new bushings,grip screws and grips ordered. The first 4 pics are what the gun looked like when I picked it up.

Looks good, thats a lot of work! what kind of finish are you going to put on it? or are you going to try and leave it? It would look like Colts "royal blue" if you blued it!
 
Not sure if i'm gonna leave it polished or not......Just thought I would play around with it......always an easy fix with cerakote....But it sure beats the finish it came with.....and now all of the imperfections are smoothed out :)
 
Great polish job! Did you do the polishing by hand or did you use a bench grinder or something like that?
