Recently acquired a ufh m1 bayonet that is in really rough shape all finish is gone and is pitted debating on whether or not to just hit it with some super blue to try and preserve it let me know your thoughts

The bluing will make it resemble a replica in my humble opinion. If she were mine I’d work her over with oil and oooo steel wool or a copper penny, then apply a good coat of wax or mathers mag wheel cleaner
Any good videos on that process?

I haven’t filmed any that I’ve fixed but I’ve done it many times. The copper penny (pre-1982) is hard enough to remove the rust and clean out the pitting without scarring the steel. The mag wheel cleaner then seals and protects the surface (also makes milsurp bolts resistant to corrosive ammo).

I just found this on youtube.
