Thoughts on wraps?

Got this for my can. I need to put a longer piece of 550 on it. But over all I think it might work out. Anyone else wrap their cans? This is a Elite Iron one.

Yes, I wrap my centerfire cans. They mostly get used on rifles with magnified optics, and the mirage from the heat coming off the can can get pretty bad.

First time you're at the range and have just put a couple dozen rounds thru' your host and want to transfer the can to another host, you'll see the benefit of 'wrapping it'.

I use the HTP from Cole-TAC.

$1 oven met, not really as cool though.

Elite Iron. Haven't tried it out yet, so it may not be that great.

I still use silicone pot holders.

But as you say, not as cool (and don't work quite as well), but at least they're not $80+
