Thoughts on "Blood Guns". The Truth versus Myth. What says you?

I have a remington 552 (22) rifle that a local guy borrowed from someone else drove to the hospital parking lot and committed suicide sitting in his car. The po po gave it back to the owner and I bought it for 20$. 40yrs ago and I still have it ,been a very good shooting gun, doesn’t bother me at all.
 
Well, since everything in my mind came from pop culture and especially Disney movies....

.... I understand that inanimate objects have personalities and wills of their own.

So if they cannot be controlled
and trusted not to hurt people,

well, we should not own them or have them in our houses.

Nearly all objects are friendly towards humans, so why adopt one of the few troublemakers?

P.S. It's also unwise to own a table-saw that has ever cut off the tip of somebody's finger, or a hammer that has smashed a persons thumb.
